March’s first visit,this time travelling in style via Frankfurt and the delights of Lufthansa CityLine. Being a Sunday there was little activity at the plant,however with wheels and mostly empty roads,it was easy to note –and photograph just about everything that was visible. Hangar doors remained firmly shut for the most part,but this was compensated by the packed ramps,especially at l’aubrevouir and St. Martin du Touch.
Arriving close to midnight gave some interesting views of the A380 (J.L. Lagardere) FAL –see photos –which thanks to the lights would not have been possible otherwise.
An interesting new raised vantage point was discovered overlooking the rear of the main plant at Chemin de Gramont. This spot has real potential if the C. ADER FAL is open and is recommended to anyone visiting with wheels.
