My second visit of the month, primarily to catch the first Air France A380 in daylight ...I wasn't disappointed!. Mach II and A380 tours were taken to help compensate for the lack of a chauffeur so I'm confident this is a pretty comprehensive account of the inhabitants. A full day with my team mate and part-time chauffeur so that everything that could be seen was duly noted. Plenty of A380 flying plus taxi runs for MSN0034 witnessed at close quarters made for things even more interesting than usual. A flying visit (via Frankfurt both ways to sample the delights of Lufthansa CityLine (out) and Cirrus Airlines(back)) with car so everything that could be seen was noted. An interesting perspective on the DC was witnessed (see photos) as a result, including the repositioning of the second A380 for Qantas during the early hours. Shots at: ... Continue Reading →

On foot, but an A380 tour with the addition of Concorde No.1 provided access to the main St. Martin du Touch site and a glimpse at 330/340 production. 4 days after my last visit, an interesting insight into the speed of production. On foot, but a 'Mach II' tour allowed access to the main St. Martin du Touch site for 320 and 330/340 production and some of the ATR area. My latest log from the Airbus Theme Park, this time solo and on foot with views limited to approach/ departure, the terminal area and covert visits to the car park. The 'Mach II' tour option was taken to gain covert access to the main plant in-lieu of the much-missed Clement Ader (A330/40) tour. To round things off the... Continue Reading →

A solo visit, to take my last tour of the Clement ADER facility (A330/A340 production). The tour guide confirmed that the tour has been cancelled - at the instruction of Airbus - for good. No reason given, and it was suggested that we 'ask Airbus'! No car, so views limited from the terminal area,... Continue Reading →
